About Patrina Williams

Patrina Williams has a background that includes 25 years of working with individuals in Human Services. During these years, I have held many leadership positions where I have supervised over 85 employees and managed over 300 clients with intellectual disabilities, drug use, and juveniles with behavioral issues. I have assisted in building programs from 15 bed units increasing them to 45 bed units all being either a group home setting or supervised facility. My job Lead Recovery Specialist was to hire and train the staff, provide a safe environment for women and their children that are recovering from drugs and abusive relationships. I recently held a position with one of the largest healthcare providers where I would oversee several group homes both ICF and Supported living. In this role As Area Supervisor it was my job to ensure that each home was up to standard with state regulations, report any exploitation and abuse of any client, manage budget hours and staffing needs for everyone. I spoke with families and any other providers that was needed for the client and spoke on their behalf to ensure that we proved the best level of care for our clients. I have traveled to different states and help other organizations that were at risk of closing to improve their services as well as their policy and procedures. I currently hold a HDMA certificate and a certified to train in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and gender responsive. I have been trained by Indiana Mental Health association in different types of mental illness and disabilities including but not limited to Bi-polar disorder, IDD, Retardation, brain injuries, learning disabilities and more. This is just a brief overview of my experience and background.
